- First rinse the long grained / basmati rice under cold running water for a couple of times. Keep aside
- Heat olive oil in pan add chopped onions garlic saute add rinse rice mix well stir continuesly the outside of the rice should start to get slightly browned.
- Now add carrots capsicum green peas green chilli celery paprika / red chilli powder add cumin powder salt saute 2-3 min. add tomato puree combine mix gently cover with lid simmer on low heat.
- Until rice grains are tendor and fluffy for 20min. All of stock should be observed while rice cooking keep checking.
- If there no liquids left in the pan rice grains are undercooked add 1/4 cup hot water / veg stock hot or as required mix cover and countinue to simmer.
- Serve hot
