- 3 cup cooked Rice
- 1 medium Onion
- 1 medium Tomato
- 1 cup chopped Capsicum
- 1 small Potato (boiled)
- 1 medium Carrot
- 2 Green Chilli
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp Pav Bhaji Masala
- 1 cup shredded Cabbage
- Salt, Oil
- 1/2 Lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tbsp Garlic (finely chopped)
- 1 small Ginger (grated)
Steps to make to make Tawa Pulao
- Roughly chop all veggies, cut potatoes into cubes.
Veggie like Cauliflower, French Beans, Peas can also be added.

- Assemble ingredients


- Heat oil + butter in a tawa / Wok, add cumin seeds and let it crackle. Then add garlic ginger sauté for few seconds and then add onion and sauté till light golden yellow.


- Add carrot and sauté for 3-4 minutes.


- Add capsicum, cabbage and saute for few minutes till veggies turn soft yet crunchy.


- Add tomato + potato and sauté for 2 minutes.


- Add all spices + salt and stir well by adding little water.


- Stir fry till spices leaves oil, it takes around 3-4 minutes.



- Add rice, mix gently and cook for 6-7 minutes under medium flame, lastly switch off flame and add lemon juice. Cover it for around 1 minute.
Tawa Pulao is ready.
